This is the sixth-generation Bronco, launched for the 2021 model year after a long hiatus. It is a purpose-built off-road SUV on a dedicated body-on-frame platform, offered from the outset in two-door and four-door forms — the four-door being the more usable everyday choice. Since launch Ford has expanded the range steadily, adding the trail-focused Everglades, the desert-running Raptor and the retro Heritage editions.
Powertrain and equipment
Two turbocharged EcoBoost engines cover most of the range. The 2.3-litre EcoBoost inline-four produces around 275–300 hp, while the 2.7-litre EcoBoost V6 delivers roughly 315–330 hp and is the strong, torquey choice for a fully loaded four-door.
The four-door Bronco comes in a broad trim ladder: Base, Big Bend, Black Diamond, Outer Banks, Badlands, Wildtrak, Everglades, Heritage and Raptor. The Sasquatch package is the one enthusiasts chase — 35-inch all-terrain tyres, 17-inch beadlock-capable wheels, front and rear lockers, a disconnecting front sway bar and raised suspension.

Pre-purchase review
The sixth-generation Bronco is a young, heavily engineered vehicle, and its early history reflects that. The most publicised issue affected some early-build 2.7 EcoBoost engines with a valve-train concern that led to a recall and extended warranty coverage — check that any specific car has had the relevant work completed.
Germany and Europe
US Broncos lack a rear fog lamp (mandatory in Germany) and run US-pattern headlights that need ECE-compliant units or a documented adjustment.
Expect to fit ECE headlights (or document a compliant adjustment), add a rear fog lamp, confirm the km/h speedometer, and verify lighting and tyre compliance.
